The MW-550 is a wide-format saddle stitching and folding platform for larger sheet sizes. It is available in single-output and dual-output configurations depending on your production needs. Its four stitching heads distinguish it from the two-head 480 / 490 / 530 platforms.

What sizes of booklet can it make?
It takes flat sheets from 260 × 200 mm to 550 × 595 mm and delivers finished, folded booklets from 260 × 100 mm to 550 × 297 mm.
What stitching thickness can it handle?
It can handle a stitching thickness of 0.2 – 3 mm measured at the spine. The actual page count depends on the paper type and weight.
What paper can it run?
Sheet and cover from 55 – 250 g/m², so light text paper through to a heavy cover.
How fast is it?
Up to 3,000 books/hour, with 4 stitching heads working across the spine.
How many stitching heads?
It stitches with 4 heads. That is the clearest difference from the two-head 480 / 490 / 530 platforms, and it is what lets a wider sheet be stitched across its full width.
What do the suffixes — F, D — actually mean?
The MW-550 platform is available in different finishing and output configurations according to production requirements. F adds an in-line front trimmer that cuts the front edge in the same pass; D adds dual output, allowing two booklets to be produced from one sheet.
Which configurations does this model come in?
The MW-550 does stitching and folding only.
Is this a single-output machine?
Yes — in its standard form it is single output: one booklet per pass. The MW-550D configuration adds dual output, allowing two booklets to be produced from one sheet.

What happens after I order?
Quoted lead time is typically 25–35 days. Every machine is tested before it leaves and packed for sea freight. Installation and operator training can be arranged — tell us what your team needs and we will include it in the quotation.
What warranty comes with it?
12 months on core components. Wear parts are consumables and are stocked as spares.
