Questions buyers ask

Before you enquire

What sizes of booklet can it make?

It takes flat sheets from 145 × 200 mm to 340 × 480 mm and delivers finished, folded booklets from 145 × 100 mm to 340 × 240 mm.

What stitching thickness can it handle?

It can handle a stitching thickness of 0.2 – 2.5 mm measured at the spine. The actual page count depends on the paper type and weight.

What paper can it run?

Sheet and cover from 55 – 250 g/m², so light text paper through to a heavy cover.

How fast is it?

Up to 2,800 books/hour, with 2 stitching heads working across the spine.

How many stitching heads?

It stitches with two heads across the spine.

What do the suffixes — F, FS, FSP, FSC — actually mean?

They are the units fitted to the same body; the base machine stitches and folds only. F adds an in-line front trimmer that cuts the front edge in the same pass; FS adds top-bottom trimming to complete three-side trimming; FSP adds a collating system that assembles multi-page sets before stitching; FSC adds an automatic cover feeder that places the cover before stitching. FSC and FSP are alternative feeding solutions rather than successive steps: neither includes the other, and both are fitted at the feeding stage, before stitching and folding.

Which configurations does this model come in?

The MW-480FSC does stitching, folding, 3-side trimming and automatic cover feeding.

Is this a single-output machine?

Yes — in its standard form it is single output: one booklet per pass.

Which model should I choose?

Choose according to your sheet size, finished booklet size, paper weight, production volume and required finishing functions. If you are unsure, send us your specifications and we'll recommend a suitable model.

Can a base model be upgraded later?

Configuration options are available on the same platform. Please contact us to confirm the suitable setup for your production requirements.

What happens after I order?

Quoted lead time is typically 25–35 days. Every machine is tested before it leaves and packed for sea freight. Installation and operator training can be arranged — tell us what your team needs and we will include it in the quotation.

What warranty comes with it?

12 months on core components. Wear parts are consumables and are stocked as spares.
